lot of other temptations on the Calhoun's menu.
In 1983, the first Calhoun's, a big barn-like structure, opened in
West Knoxville as a tribute to the agricultural roots and great
barbecue traditions of Eastern Tennessee. Within a year of its
opening, the restaurant's signature hickory smoked baby-back ribs
won the title of "Best Ribs in America" at the prestigious National
Rib Cook-Off. It was clear a tradition of greatness had been born.
From the savory starter of Buffalo Wings or Fried Green Tomatoes, to the enticements of such favorites as our House "Ale Steak", Southern-fried Catfish or Rotisserie Chicken, to the sweet send-off of freshly made seasonal Key Lime Pie, we guarantee your tastebuds will enjoy their trip to Tennessee.
